/ About the project
Perched high above the city with panoramic views stretching from the South Bay to the San Francisco skyline, Skyline Modern is a bold architectural statement designed for elevated living. Executed by the Greenberg Construction team, this home redefines modern hillside living—delivering clean geometry, expansive glazing, and finishes that balance warmth with edge.
The residence is built around unobstructed vistas and dramatic volumes. From the moment you enter through the custom pivot door, the home opens into a sweeping great room where floor-to-ceiling glass walls erase the line between indoors and out. The seamless flow and minimalist detailing let the surrounding landscape take center stage.
The kitchen is a focal point of the space, with sculptural bookmatched porcelain slabs wrapping the island and backsplash. Custom cabinetry in rich, textured matte finishes pairs with light oak accents and suspended shelving to deliver a high-functioning design with gallery-like presence. Integrated appliances and clean black fixtures reinforce the home’s precise, contemporary language.
In the powder room and primary suite, texture and lighting come alive. A moody crocodile-embossed wallcovering and fluted vanity deliver bold personality in the guest bath, while the main bathroom layers large-format tile, a glass-enclosed wet room, and a floating vanity wall—anchored by backlit mirrors and matte black details—for a spa-like retreat.
Outside, tiered concrete pads and minimalist black fencing define the geometry of the landscape while allowing greenery to soften the lines. Every square foot of this project was designed to honor the view—and to frame life at the top.
Design + Structural Innovation
• Framing the Horizon
Massive glass walls and sliding pocket doors wrap the living space, capturing panoramic city and bay views and flooding the interior with natural light.
• Floating Kitchen Core
The custom kitchen is a centerpiece, clad in bookmatched porcelain and punctuated with wood and steel elements for contrast. Its layout is both sculptural and highly functional.
• Layered Lighting
Integrated LED channels in the ceilings and cabinetry offer dynamic lighting options and highlight the architectural rhythm of each space.
• Minimalist Landscape Integration
Tiered hardscaping, subtle planting, and black fencing were used to create a low-maintenance yet high-design exterior that mirrors the home’s modern language.
Interior Design Approach
• Material-Driven Modernism
Porcelain, natural oak, matte black metal, and textured finishes were chosen for their visual contrast and durability—creating a palette that feels high-end yet restrained.
• Sculptural Bathroom Design
Floating vanities, frameless glass, and ambient lighting transform the powder room and primary bath into immersive experiences, styled for maximum impact.
• Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living
Every main space flows effortlessly to the exterior thanks to floor-to-ceiling openings and continuous flooring, perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.
