/ About the project

This custom two-story home in Belmont, CA balances clean contemporary lines with warm, organic finishes—resulting in a home that feels equal parts modern and timeless. Designed to blend seamlessly into its suburban hillside surroundings, the Muir Way project is a showcase of natural materials, thoughtful flow, and functional elegance.

With a strong focus on indoor-outdoor connection and family-focused living, this home is a true reflection of the values we bring to every build: clarity, comfort, and craft.

Contemporary Design Highlights

  • Refined Street Presence

The exterior features a calming stucco palette offset by horizontal cedar siding and a custom matching garage door. Layered landscaping and a central water feature draw the eye toward a dramatic modern entry with frosted glass and wood detailing.

  • Grand Kitchen for Everyday Living + Entertaining

The kitchen features rich walnut cabinetry, waterfall-edge countertops, and a commercial-grade Wolf range—all anchored by a long center island with seating for five. Custom backsplash tile adds dimension, while open circulation flows seamlessly into the dining and living spaces.

  • Natural Materials + Light Everywhere

Polished brazilian cherry hardwood floors, high ceilings, glass stair railings, and strategic lighting create a sense of grounded openness. Every finish was selected for beauty, resilience, and flow.

  • Rear Deck + Yard for Family Time

Sliding doors open to a custom wood deck with railing and BBQ station—framed by lush grass and modern planting beds. The result is a backyard that lives like an extension of the home.

A Contemporary Build That Feels Like Home

Designed for a growing family, this home balances design ambition with day-to-day livability. There’s plenty of storage, flexible gathering spaces, and natural finishes that make every corner feel considered.
